Our Tijuca Forest and Favela Tour in Rio de Janeiro will take you to 2 of the most exciting places in Rio. The Tijuca Forest is the largest urban forest in the world and it is also a natural habitat, that not only controls the city temperature but also, is the home of many species of mammals, reptiles and birds, as well as over 3000 species of plants. We spend about 2.5 hours in the forest before heading out to the favela. Based on where customers are located, in order to optimize the tour and avoid going to farther areas with heavy traffic, we can visit Rocinha, Vidigal or Santa Marta slums. Any of these 3 options will give customers a good idea of how life is inside a slum.
