FAQ – Sobre Kayaking e Ducking

What is the difference between ducking and kayaking?

A duck is a type of an inflatable kayak, and a kayak is made of fiberglass. Ducking is done in Macae river and Kayaking is done in the sea, over the Guanabara bay area, in the city of Rio. Both have a duration of around 2 hours, but since ducking is done outside Rio, the whole trip takes 8 hours, while kayaking takes about 4 hours round trip. In terms of landscape, it is hard to compare these tours, as one is done in a river, in an natural environment surrounded by forests, and the other is done in the sea, with all the views of Sugarloaf, beaches, mountains and islands in the back.
